About 100 Nizhny Novgorod residents participated in the qualifying round of Media Basket.

      On June 20, the second stage of the nationwide qualifying tournament Liga Stavok Media Basket (12+) concluded in Nizhny Novgorod. The event combined a sports and entertainment program. The DRAFT COMBINE qualifying stage took place at the "Meschersky" Sports Complex, followed by an exhibition tournament featuring league teams.

      During the DRAFT COMBINE, basketball players wishing to make a name for themselves underwent a series of tests and gameplay trials aimed at assessing the physical, technical, and gameplay qualities of the participants. As a result, four finalists were determined, who earned the right to compete in the final stage in Moscow and play for one of the teams in the new season.

      The exhibition tournament featured teams UNDERGROUND BIZNE$, HOOPS, GOATS, and the Nizhny Novgorod team "Zakat Basket," which included the Minister of Sports of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Dmitry Kabailo.

      "About 100 residents of Nizhny Novgorod participated in the qualifying stage of media basketball. This is a vibrant event that gives talented players a chance to showcase their sports skills. Therefore, many spectators gathered in the stands of the 'Meschersky' Sports Complex. Such events work very well for the popularization of sports. The exhibition tournament also added emotions, and the support from the audience was very palpable. I thank everyone who came to the event for choosing sports!" emphasized Dmitry Kabailo.

      The winner of the competition was the team UNDERGROUND BIZNE$. In the final match, the team defeated HOOPS with a score of 19:17.

      The sports program was complemented by a concert performance by hip-hop artist BATO, who was the headliner of the evening and supported the atmosphere of the tournament.
