Rebrov: our common task is to carefully pass on the memory of the war to the younger generation.
In the Red Hill square, an alley has been created in memory of the heroes of the Great Patriotic War who did not return from the battlefields. On June 22, the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the head of the apparatus of the Legislative Assembly of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Maxim Rebrov, participated in the planting of trees in the Red Hill square in Nizhny Novgorod. Along with him, saplings were planted in memory of those who died in the Great Patriotic War by representatives of the clergy, the City Duma, local residents, and volunteers. People of different generations gathered in the square to honor the memory of Soviet citizens who did not return from the battlefields. Performers presented creative numbers and songs dedicated to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. After a minute of silence and laying flowers at the memorial, the participants of the event planted trees in memory of the soldiers who did not return home. Addressing the participants, Maxim Rebrov emphasized that such events are important not only as a tribute to the past but also as a lesson for the future. "Today, when a minute of silence was declared across Russia, it resonated in every corner of our vast country, reflecting what every citizen feels. The war touched every family, and we know firsthand about those terrible years. Our task is to carefully pass this memory to the younger generation so that it resonates in their hearts," said Maxim Rebrov.
