Seven pit bikes were towed from the pedestrian crossing in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 19, 2026, at 10:37, Incidents: In Nizhny Novgorod, traffic police removed seven pit bikes from a pedestrian crossing, which were left right in front of a shopping center on Kazansky Highway. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the region.

      The equipment was noticed on June 18 by traffic police officers. The pit bikes were abandoned right on the "zebra," making it inconvenient for pedestrians to cross the road. Moreover, this is a violation of traffic rules.

      All seven units of equipment were promptly evacuated and sent to a specialized parking lot.

      Currently, the police are identifying the owners of the pit bikes. After that, a decision will be made regarding their administrative liability.

      The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate reminds that pit bikes are classified as sports equipment. Their use on public roads is prohibited, and non-compliance with the rules of operation and storage entails administrative responsibility.
