A seamstress from Lyskov will represent the Nizhny Novgorod region at the all-Russian competition.

      On June 17, 2026, at 11:24, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, the results of the regional stage of the All-Russian professional skills competition "Best in the Profession" in the nomination "Seamstress" were announced. The winner was Natalia Krainova, representing the branch of JSC "Meridian" in Lyskov. The competition took place at the Nizhny Novgorod Industrial College in Nizhny Novgorod. Employees of JSC "Meridian," LLC "Meridian," LLC "Brig," and LLC "Zhuychaun Automotive Components Rus" competed for victory. The participants answered test questions, solved case assignments, and performed practical work on processing the cut and attaching the cuff of the sleeve. According to the results of the tests, first place was taken by Natalia Krainova, who has 16 years of experience in the profession. She will represent the Nizhny Novgorod region at the federal stage of the competition. Second place went to Ekaterina Vassunova from LLC "Brig," and third place to Nadezhda Vasilyeva from JSC "Meridian." The Minister of Demography and Human Capital Development of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Igor Pantyukhin, noted that the competition helps maintain a high level of professional skills and enhances the prestige of the profession. He also reminded that last year a representative of the region became the winner of the federal stage in the nomination "Seamstress," which, according to him, confirms the high level of training of Nizhny Novgorod specialists. The winner and the prizewinners of the regional stage received diplomas and memorable gifts, while the other participants received letters of thanks. As noted by the acting director of the Nizhny Novgorod Human Resources Center "Work of Russia," Elena Vidyaeva, the competition allows for recognizing the best craftsmen, supporting interest in working professions, and demonstrating the demand for professional skills. In 2025, representatives of the Nizhny Novgorod region became winners and prizewinners of the federal stage of the competition in several nominations. In particular, employee of LLC "Brig," Nadezhda Stepanova, took first place in the nomination "Seamstress." The competition "Best in the Profession" has been part of the federal project "Man of Labor" of the national project "Personnel" since 2025. Winners of the federal stage receive monetary prizes: 1 million rubles for first place, 500 thousand rubles for second, and 300 thousand rubles for third.
