Doctors from the Privolzhsky District Medical Center restored the ability to walk for a patient, reported the editor-in-chief of MIA "Stationary Press" Alexey Nikонов.
In 2024, a 43-year-old man suffered a terrible shattered femur and experienced clinical death. His emergency rescue was handled at one of the Nizhny Novgorod hospitals. According to the source, due to complications, a year of treatment proved ineffective: as soon as the man attempted to take his first step, his bone broke again.
At the PMMC, the man was admitted with a leg shortened by 5 centimeters. He also could hardly move independently. "During a minimally invasive operation through micro-incisions, the trauma surgeons at PMMC stabilized the fracture from the inside with a special blocking rod. The femur was stabilized with minimal trauma," the message states. After a year of almost immobile life, the man began to walk again. His recovery is ongoing.
Earlier, we reported that Nizhny Novgorod doctors operated on the acting head of the State Council of Bashkortostan, Khusainov.
