Nizhny Novgorod region entered the top 20 in the number of applications for competition experts.

      Nizhny Novgorod Region has entered the top 20 regions in terms of the number of applications to the expert community of the All-Russian competition "My Country - My Russia" - a project of the presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities." In 2026, 69 representatives from the region expressed their readiness to join the expert corps. A total of 3,383 applications from across the country were submitted to participate in the expert community of the competition. The competition is held as part of the federal project "Russia - a Land of Opportunities" under the national project "Youth and Children" with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation. Participation is available to residents of all regions of Russia. In the new season, representatives from education, science, government bodies, business, and the non-profit sector joined the expert corps. They will evaluate thousands of projects from across the country and identify the most promising ones. Before starting their work, experts undergo mandatory training and qualification testing. Webinars are organized for them on project evaluation methodologies, the specifics of competition nominations, and unified approaches to conducting expertise. Each project is reviewed by at least three independent experts. In case of significant discrepancies, an additional expertise is appointed. To ensure objectivity, specialists do not evaluate projects from their own region. The competition has been held for over 20 years and brings together authors of socially significant initiatives. Participants propose projects aimed at the development of cities and villages, strengthening infrastructure, and supporting education, culture, and the social sphere. Since 2025, by the order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" has been in effect in Russia, continuing the tasks of the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities." It aims to create conditions for the development of talents and self-realization of youth, the construction and renovation of schools, the improvement of teachers' qualifications, and the introduction of new teaching methods. The national project includes federal projects and programs "Russia - a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creating a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for the Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalism."

      The presidential platform "Russia - a Land of Opportunities" was created at the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on May 22, 2018. The supervisory board of the platform is headed by Vladimir Putin.
