Law enforcement officers in Dzerzhinsk discovered a home drug plantation.

      On June 13, 2026, at 10:06, Incidents: In Dzerzhinsk, employees of the drug control department eliminated a home drug production facility and detained a 47-year-old local resident, reports the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the region. During the inspection of the apartment, operatives discovered a carefully organized plantation: 32 cannabis plants grown in pots, as well as zip bags containing plant-based substances. Additionally, a glass jar with a finished product, scales, and about 100 empty packages were found in the premises. At the time of his detention, the man was under the influence of drugs. He claimed that he grew cannabis exclusively for personal use; however, the scale and nature of the discovered products raise serious doubts about the truthfulness of his words. A criminal case has been initiated regarding the identified offense under part 1 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, which provides for liability for the illegal storage, transportation, and production of narcotic substances.
