      In Saransk, after a large-scale reconstruction, the multimedia light and music fountain "Star of Mordovia" has opened - one of the main landmarks of the city. Sber, celebrating its 185th anniversary this year, gifted it to Saransk in honor of the city's 385th anniversary. The bank conducted a complete technical re-equipment of the historical fountain. At the opening ceremony, Alexander Anashchenko, Chairman of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank, and Artyom Zudinov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia, solemnly launched the updated fountain and the festive program. After the renovation, the "Star of Mordovia" became multimedia and light-music. The fountain is now equipped with a water screen measuring 25 by 8 meters, on which light, photo, and video projections can be displayed. The fountain operates in both static and dynamic modes, adapting to the chosen melody. The structure is based on 126 jets. The central jet shoots up to a height of 42 meters (almost as high as a 14-story building). The movement of water is powered by 113 pumps, and the lighting is provided by 296 underwater LED lights. Additionally, the fountain has its own mist system made up of 288 jets. At the same time, the fountain has retained its iconic shape of an eight-pointed star - a national ornament symbolizing the sun and warmth. This image reminds us of the rich cultural heritage of the Mordovian people and the respect of the residents for their history. The central event of the grand opening was the light and music show "Breath of Water." Heroes from Mordovian legends and fairy tales came to life with the help of Sber's AI assistant GigaChat. The concert featured national ensembles and contemporary artists, along with extreme sports masters, turning the fountain's opening into an unforgettable celebration. The evening concluded with a performance by singer Klava Koka. "The 'Star of Mordovia' has once again shone in Saransk - renewed, bright, and modern. Music, light, and smart technologies will help reveal the beauty of the national Mordovian culture in the fountain. Sber creates and updates public spaces to make cities cozier and more welcoming, as well as to help improve the quality of life for people. I hope the updated fountain will become a favorite place for relaxation for the residents and guests of Saransk," noted Alexander Anashchenko, Chairman of the Volga-Vyatka Bank of Sberbank. "We have long and successfully cooperated with Sber. Many projects have been implemented together, and the bank helps our producers enter new markets. Now we have managed to give a second life to such a significant place in Saransk as the 'Star of Mordovia' fountain in Millennium Square. I am sure our residents will appreciate such a gift," emphasized Artyom Zudinov, Head of the Republic of Mordovia.

      The improvement of Millennium Square, of which the "Star of Mordovia" fountain is a part, was carried out by the Government of the Republic of Mordovia and the Administration of the city of Saransk at the initiative of the Head of the region. The fountain in Saransk has become the 34th interactive fountain gifted by Sber to Russian cities and the capital of the Republic of Belarus - Minsk.
