An underground casino with 18 slot machines was raided in Nizhny Novgorod.

      June 10, 2026 09:28 Incidents Law enforcement uncovered an underground casino in the Lenin district. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The illegal gambling hall was located in a non-residential premises on Udmurt Street. Police seized 18 gaming machines, three smartphones, a bundle of cash, a server, and a Wi-Fi router. At the time of the inspection, five players were present in the premises. A criminal case has been initiated under the article on the illegal organization and conduct of gambling. A 37-year-old resident of the regional center, who had no prior convictions, has been interrogated as a suspect. She is currently under a travel ban and is required to behave appropriately.
