The age limit for the brand "Made in the Region" has been proposed to be reviewed.
On June 9, 2026, at 18:45, Economy In the Volga Federal District, it was proposed to change the requirements for assigning the brand "Made in the Region," lowering the age threshold for obtaining it. The issue was discussed at a meeting of the Association of Youth Parliaments under the legislative bodies of state power of the subjects of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, reports IA "NTA-Volga."
Meeting participants reviewed the regulatory and legal aspects of regulating creative industries.
The Chairman of the Youth Parliament of the Udmurt Republic, Pavel Belkin, drew attention to the existing age restriction. He cited the example of a 17-year-old girl who has been making traditional jewelry—monists—for four years but cannot claim the status due to the established threshold of 18 years.
He noted that different regions have their own approaches to branding local products and suggested unifying them. Among the possible solutions is the creation of a separate mark for young entrepreneurs or a revision of the age requirements for the existing brand.
The initiative was supported by the senator of the Russian Federation from the Nizhny Novgorod region, Olga Shchetinina.
"Let's aim for changing the mark for everyone. We already have entrepreneurs aged 14-18 today," Shchetinina stated.
Earlier, it was reported that 52 products from Nizhny Novgorod manufacturers received certificates "Made in Russia." NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" has channels on Telegram and MAX.
