      On June 8, 2026, 12:52 Incidents A criminal case has been initiated in Gorodets regarding the theft of funds amounting to over 4.7 million rubles. The basis for this was the materials from the prosecutor's inspection. As reported by the Gorodets city prosecutor's office, signs of illegal actions were identified during the inspection of compliance with federal legislation. According to the supervisory authority, from October 2023 to December 2025, the director of the management company embezzled over 4.7 million rubles from the account of a legal entity. Following the inspection, the prosecutor's office sent the materials to the investigative authorities to decide on criminal prosecution. After their review, a criminal case was initiated under part 4 of article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation "Fraud committed by an organized group or on a particularly large scale." The investigation is currently ongoing. It was previously reported that a Nizhny Novgorod businessman was sentenced to 4 years for multimillion-dollar loan frauds.
