Contractors for the major renovation of two trolleybus depots are being sought in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On June 7, 2026, at 15:30, the Nizhny Novgorod Electric Transport Society announced new tenders for the major renovation of trolleybus depots No. 1 and No. 2 in Nizhny Novgorod. This was reported on the state procurement portal.

      For the renovation of depot No. 1 on General Ivliev Street, 1, 201.6 million rubles have been allocated, and for depot No. 2 on Sormovsky Highway, 1B, 259.8 million rubles. Funding is provided from the regional budget.

      As part of the procurement, a major renovation of administrative and production buildings is planned. The project includes bringing the thermal insulation of the buildings up to regulatory requirements, restoring ventilation and heating systems to create a comfortable microclimate, as well as repairing the power supply in accordance with current electrical installation rules.

      In addition, contractors will need to replace lighting systems in production areas, repair the fire water supply, fire alarm, and notification system. The workshops will have their nearly destroyed flooring updated and the inspection pits put in order. The list of works is defined by the estimate documentation.

      The results of the competitive procedures are planned to be summarized on June 25 and 26. Work on both facilities must be completed no later than November 25, 2026.

      It should be noted that contracts for the major renovation of three depots have already been concluded earlier. However, it was recently revealed that law enforcement agencies uncovered the embezzlement of 79 million rubles of budget funds during the execution of the contract for depot No. 2.
