Two flights were delayed at Nizhny Novgorod airport due to a drone attack threat on June 8.

      On June 8, 2026, at 09:13 Society announced a drone danger regime in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the regional RSChS, it was introduced at 04:31.

      Against this background, Chkalov Airport is receiving and sending planes in coordination with the relevant authorities. The airport warns of possible changes in the schedule and recommends that passengers check the status of flights on the online scoreboard.

      According to the scoreboard, currently, two flights are delayed for departure. A flight by the airline "Rossiya," which was supposed to depart for Moscow at 9:40, has been postponed to 13:40. The NordWind flight to Mineralnye Vody has been moved from 13:45 to 15:25.

      In addition, two flights to Sochi have departed late. The NordWind aircraft scheduled for 17:05 on June 7 only took off at 7:41 on June 8. The aircraft of the airline "Rossiya," which was supposed to depart the day before at 14:50, took off only in the morning at 8:48. A flight to Samara will also depart late. It was supposed to take off at 08:30, but registration for the flight is still ongoing.

      It should be noted that today the resumption of direct flights from Nizhny Novgorod to Batumi is scheduled. According to the schedule, the plane is supposed to take off at 13:35.
