Two Nizhny Novgorod residents returned from Ukrainian captivity.

      On June 6, 2026, at 12:35 PM, Society reported that as a result of another exchange, 185 Russian servicemen were returned from Ukrainian captivity. They are currently on the territory of Russia, where they are receiving necessary medical and psychological assistance. Among those returned are two natives of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the Commissioner for Human Rights in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Oksana Kislytsina. The first serviceman from the Pochinkovsky district was mobilized. He spent almost a year in captivity. During all this time, his family waited for him at home, not losing hope for his return. The second fighter is a contractor from Kulebaki. His mother was informed of his captivity by representatives of the Red Cross, with whom federal commissioners are in contact. It was previously reported that Oleg Anderson, an employee of the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Duma, has gone back to the Special Military Operation.
