The Nizhny Novgorod TV tower will shine with lines from Pushkin on Russian Language Day.

      On June 6, 2026, at 11:45 AM, Society In the evening of June 6, the television tower in Nizhny Novgorod will receive thematic lighting dedicated to Pushkin Day in Russia and the Day of the Russian Language. The architectural and artistic illumination will be launched by the RTRS branch "Nizhny Novgorod Regional Radio and Television Transmitting Center" in collaboration with the regional Ministry of Culture. Pushkin Day in Russia is dedicated to the memory of Alexander Pushkin, who was born on June 6, 1799, and became the founder of the modern Russian literary language. This day also marks the Day of the Russian Language. For the Nizhny Novgorod region, this date holds special significance. In Bolshoye Boldino, the poet spent several fruitful creative periods. Here, the cycles "Little Tragedies" and "The Tales of Belkin" were created, the work on the novel "Eugene Onegin" was completed, fairy tales were written, more than 30 poems, and other works. The illumination will operate from 9:00 PM to 10:00 PM. The media facade will feature a graphic portrait of Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin and a decorative composition of phrases written by his hand. A scrolling line will display the name of the holiday, the recognizable autograph of the poet, and lines from famous works - "I awakened kind feelings with my lyre" and "I remember a wonderful moment." The light scenes will be complemented by images of an inkpot and a goose feather. The facade will also illuminate the inscription "June 6 - Day of the Russian Language." The design will use the corporate colors and patterns of the festival "Pushkin Without Borders" (0+). This year, it is being held for the third time from June 5 to 7 at the A.S.
