The "Gastronomic Christmas" festival will start in Nizhny Novgorod on June 6.

      On June 6, 2026, at 17:40, Culture and Leisure In Nizhny Novgorod, the fifth season of the "Gastronomic Christmas" festival (0+) will kick off. This was announced by the ANO "Center 800".

      Traditionally, part of Rozhdestvenskaya Street from Shirokaya Street to Markina Square will become a pedestrian area for the city celebration. Events will take place every Saturday from 12:00 to 22:00 throughout the summer, with free entry for guests.

      Each festival day will be dedicated to a specific theme. The season opening will be titled "Start of Summer." The main events will unfold at Markina Square, which this year will become the central venue with an improvised stage.

      Guests can expect musical performances, a show program, raffles, a culinary battle, DJ sets, and a cover band performance. There will also be workshops, interactive programs, and a lemonade workshop.

      In the relaxation area, bookcrossing, a board game tournament, and fitness training will be organized. Dance workshops in bachata, merengue, and Latin will take place, as well as open-air dancing.

      For families, there will be a zone with workshops on figurine painting and collage creation, a meeting with a psychologist on parenting, drawing classes, and a book lecture on guided reading. Tea ceremonies will be held in the tea zone.

      Throughout the area, there will be a craft goods fair and summer verandas with tastings of dishes and drinks specially prepared for the festival.

      It is worth noting that "Gastronomic Christmas" is part of the multi-genre festival "Capital of Sunsets" (0+), which will take place at various city venues throughout the summer. The project is being implemented as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."
