Zahar Prilepin revealed details of his new work in St. Petersburg.

      June 4, 2026 17:26 Culture and Leisure NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" - Anastasia Nazarova Writer and public figure Zakhar Prilepin informed NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" that he will be teaching in St. Petersburg. He shared this before the launch of the fifth season of the youth project "Leaders of the Nizhny Novgorod Region" at KUPNO on June 4. At the end of May at the Book Fair in St. Petersburg, Prilepin mentioned that he plans to spend more time in the city since he was offered a job, but he did not disclose details. NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" learned that the writer's new job will be related to teaching and humanitarian projects.

      "Everything I do outside of the Special Military Operation is somehow connected to raising society's awareness of culture," Prilepin noted.

      He emphasized that his home remains the Nizhny Novgorod Region.

      "This is where my roots are, where many of my projects and my home are. In St. Petersburg, I have a base and work. I currently have six to eight projects. In Nizhny Novgorod, there is a military training camp 'Stal' (created in collaboration with the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region - Ed. note), the cultural center 'Peshkov', and other initiatives. In Moscow, there are two and a half more jobs. And one new one in St. Petersburg," the writer shared.
