The baby aardvark from Nizhny Novgorod's "Limpopo" was given a plush snake - video

      On May 29, 2026, at 13:31, Society A new friend has arrived for the aardvark from the Nizhny Novgorod zoo "Limpopo" - a special toy that helps the little one get acquainted with the surrounding world. The zoo reported that the novelty serves not only as entertainment but also as an important element of education. "Every new toy for every child is a real celebration! So we decided to delight our little aardvark with a new amusement that also performs a very important function, namely - enriches the habitat of our baby! Getting to know new smells, new shapes, and textures is extremely important and, of course, very interesting for our miracle child right now!" - the staff reported. The plush snake immediately attracted the little one's attention: he almost snatched it from the staff member's hands to sniff and examine it as quickly as possible.

      Let us remind you that the aardvark was born quite recently. So far, specialists cannot say for sure whether it is a boy or a girl. These animals have virtually no external signs that allow for immediate determination of sex. The zoo has its assumptions about who was born, but this will become clear later when the cub grows and strengthens. Last year, an aardvark was already born in "Limpopo."
