      May 29, 2026 12:36 Society Restrictions have been imposed at the apiary in the village of Slobodskoye on the Bor due to varroatosis in bees. The corresponding order was issued by the Veterinary Committee of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. From May 6 until further notice, restrictive measures are in effect at the apiary. During this time, it is prohibited to set up common feeders and waterers for bees, to combine healthy and sick individuals in one hive, as well as to use combs with brood or feed from bees showing signs of infectious diseases. In addition, the use of feed with foreign impurities, unusual smells and tastes, as well as that affected by mold or pests, is also banned. Varroatosis is a dangerous quarantine parasitic disease caused by the Varroa destructor mite. The parasite affects adult bees and brood, weakens their immunity, and can lead to the death of bee colonies in the absence of control.
