Traffic restrictions have been introduced on the bridge over the Tesh River in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On May 29, 2026, at 12:19 PM, Society In the Nizhny Novgorod region, temporary traffic restrictions have been introduced on the bridge over the Tyozha River at the 118th kilometer of the federal highway R-158 Nizhny Novgorod - Saratov. As reported by the Federal State Institution "Volga-Vyatka Road Administration," from May 28, scheduled preventive work has begun on the 110-meter two-lane bridge located near the settlement of Kozhino. Specialists are removing the worn asphalt, restoring the concrete layer of the bridge deck, and applying waterproofing. After this, a new road surface will be laid on the prepared surface. The agency explained that such measures will eliminate local defects in the structural elements of the crossing and extend their service life at lower costs compared to repairs or major repairs. Work will be carried out sequentially on each lane. During the repair, traffic will be organized in a reversible mode, with a maximum speed limit of 40 km/h. The work is expected to be completed by the end of June. Motorists are asked to be understanding of the temporary inconveniences, to take the restrictions into account when planning their routes, and to adhere to the established traffic scheme when crossing the bridge.
