"Despite external challenges, I would like to note the positive dynamics in the work of the construction sector in the Nizhny Novgorod region. Last year, a total of just over 1 million 750 thousand square meters of housing was put into operation across the region. We are approaching the implementation of the task set by the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin - to build 0.8 square meters of housing per capita. The resettlement of dilapidated and emergency housing is progressing at a good pace," said Sukhanov. The deputy emphasized that a key indicator for assessing the work done is the implementation of comprehensive territory development projects. "In 2025, the Nizhny Novgorod region government, through the mechanism of comprehensive development of territories (CDT), provided land resources on which it is planned to build more than 1 million square meters of apartment buildings in the Nizhny Novgorod agglomeration. If we continue to provide land resources in such volumes annually until 2030, the goals set by the head of state will be achieved. A million square meters of housing in the Nizhny Novgorod agglomeration - such volumes have never been seen in recent history. CDT projects, under which land plots are allocated for the construction of apartment buildings, are a tremendous achievement of the Nizhny Novgorod region government," said the committee chairman. "I would also like to note that within the framework of concession agreements, the construction of social infrastructure facilities has begun and they are already being put into operation, meaning that we have effectively launched a synchronization mechanism. The creation of conditions for comfortable living is laid out in the people's program of 'United Russia'. And the most challenging part is not just to build housing, but to combine the construction of social infrastructure facilities with the commissioning of houses, so that families with children moving into new buildings can send their kids to schools or kindergartens that are within walking distance.
