In Nizhny Novgorod, a state of increased readiness has been introduced on the slope of the Koshelevo ravine near the cable car station. The corresponding decree has been published on the official website of the city administration. The decision was made due to the threat of soil erosion in an unreinforced section of the ravine. The measures aim to prevent potential danger to the lives and health of residents, as well as to prevent further erosion of the slope and the development of landslide processes. The regime has been in effect since April 7.
The administration of the Nizhny Novgorod district has been instructed to install warning signs in the potentially dangerous area, organize inter-agency cooperation, and ensure constant monitoring of the slope's condition.
The municipal institution "Department of Engineering Protection of the Territories of the City of Nizhny Novgorod" has been designated as the customer for emergency recovery work. The work is planned to include the elimination of the landslide and the installation of a drainage system within the slope.
Earlier, it was reported that a state of increased readiness was introduced in the slope area at the Zelensky descent, where a landslide occurred at the end of March.
