Artem Kavinov: "Nizhny Novgorod Region maintains its course to support residents, families, and participants of the Special Military Operation."

      On May 28, 2026, at 15:55, Society Deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Artem Kavinov commented on the report of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, to the deputies of the Legislative Assembly regarding the results of the Nizhny Novgorod regional government's work for 2025.

      "This was an honest conversation about the region's priorities, new challenges, and, of course, achievements. Despite the difficult situation, the Nizhny Novgorod region maintains its course to support residents, families, participants of the Special Military Operation, and the development of the economy and infrastructure," he noted.

      According to the deputy, demographic policy today is not just a set of support measures, but a strategic task for the region.

      "The Family Five-Year Program, the absence of queues for IVF, the 'Family Quarter' project, regional payments to families with children—all of this is already yielding results. An important figure was mentioned: the total fertility rate in the region shows the best growth in the country. This means that the chosen course is working. He also highlighted the reduction in the poverty level: it has decreased to 5.2%, partly thanks to support measures," said Artem Kavinov.

      He also emphasized the development of the economy in the report. The Nizhny Novgorod region continues to increase its industrial and technological potential.

      "Just last year, the Industrial Development Fund financed dozens of projects, and enterprises are actively modernizing production and creating new jobs. It is also important that the region does not stop developing its territories. Schools, kindergartens, clinics are being built, the mechanism of integrated development is evolving, and a modern urban environment is being created. All of this directly affects the quality of life of people," explained Artem Kavinov.

      "Behind all the figures and projects that the governor spoke about today is a huge systemic effort by the regional team and personally by Gleb Nikitin. Many decisions that now seem routine appeared overly ambitious just a few years ago, and in some cases, unrealistic. But today, part of the 'unreal' is already in full swing! It is especially important that the region is not afraid to launch unique initiatives for the country and be the first," emphasized Artem Kavinov.

      According to him, despite all the challenges and the difficult economic situation, the Nizhny Novgorod region continues to move forward, maintain social commitments, and implement large development projects.

      "This is the result of competent management, a strategic approach, and the ability to work for the future. I am glad to be part of the governor's team," he said.
