18 people were convicted for organizing illegal migration in Nizhny Novgorod.
On May 26, 2026, at 14:00, the Prioksky District Court of Nizhny Novgorod issued a verdict against 18 members of a criminal community found guilty of organizing illegal migration. This was reported by the press service of the regional court.
The defendants were charged with creating and leading a criminal community, participating in it, organizing the illegal stay of foreign citizens in Russia, committed by an organized group, as well as fictitious registration.
The court established that from January to October 2022, Nuraddin Eshniyazov created a criminal community in the Nizhny Novgorod region for the systematic organization of illegal migration. The scheme was based on the issuance and reissuance of patents that granted the right to legal stay in Russia.
The structure of the community involved heads of departments - the general director of a legal entity and individual entrepreneurs. They ensured the preparation of fictitious employment contracts, organized exams for foreign citizens in Russian language and history for obtaining patents, and the subsequent issuance of certificates.
Other participants accompanied foreign citizens to the passport and visa service and arranged fictitious registration at places of stay in pre-rented apartments.
During the existence of the community, its members ensured the illegal stay of 26 foreign citizens in the Nizhny Novgorod region, receiving monetary rewards for this.
The organizer, Nuraddin Eshniyazov, was sentenced to 15 years in a strict regime correctional colony and fined 2 million rubles for the totality of crimes.
Twelve defendants received actual imprisonment for terms ranging from two to 13 years, with serving sentences in general or strict regime colonies, as well as fines from 100,000 to 1.5 million rubles.
Five convicted individuals received conditional sentences of three to five years, two of whom were also fined 200,000 rubles.
Earlier, it was reported that a resident of the Amur region was sentenced to three years and six months for organizing illegal migration in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
