Participant of the program "Heroes of Nizhny Novgorod Region" Sergey Buslaev: "I want to be useful to my native region and country."

Education helps me broaden my horizons, gain an understanding of public service, and try myself in a managerial role. Moreover, I agree that 'learning is light,' and I am always happy to learn something new," shared veteran of the special military operation, program participant Sergey Buslaev. Sergey has two degrees - veterinary and legal. He is currently working and building a house for his family. Due to his heavy workload, the hero doubted whether he could fully participate in the program's training, but after listening to his relatives, he applied for participation. "I have never regretted my decision. This is absolutely new experience for me that contributes to my comprehensive development," he shared. Sergey is undergoing an individual internship at the Ministry of Agriculture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, and his mentor within the program is the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the region, Alexey Firstov. "During the internship, I visited several agricultural enterprises and farms. By my mentor's decision, we cover all areas to fully immerse ourselves in the specifics of the industry," Sergey emphasized. In addition to agriculture, Sergey Buslaev is interested in working with youth and patriotic education. He actively participates in conducting "Lessons of Courage" in schools and technical schools in the Nizhny Novgorod Region. It is worth noting that the program "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" is aimed at integrating and employing participants and veterans of the special military operation into the system of public administration and enterprises in the region. In March 2025, an agreement was signed between the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, RANEPA, and KUPNO on cooperation in implementing this program. Based on the results of the selection tests and in-person interviews with the Deputy Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Andrey Gneushev, 60 participants for the main educational program and 30 people for training in the program for returning to the region were selected. On August 4, 2025, the official opening of training for the program "Heroes. Nizhny Novgorod Region" took place, with the participation of the Governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin.
