VTB will hold "Avant-Garde Weekends" in Nizhny Novgorod.

VTB, the Higher School of Economics, and the "Zotov" Center will hold "Avant-Garde Weekends" (12+) in Nizhny Novgorod—a series of lectures, excursions, and master classes dedicated to the architecture, art, and cultural heritage of the avant-garde era. The events will take place at the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum and in the urban space on May 30 and 31 as part of the "Mergers" exhibition.

The program will bring together architecture researchers, art historians, artists, and students from HSE—Nizhny Novgorod. Guests can look forward to urban promenades tracing the footsteps of futurists, excursions to constructivist sites and the Social City, a lecture on the interaction between Moscow and Nizhny Novgorod architects of the 1920s and 1930s, as well as family master classes on creating futuristic zine books.

"For VTB, supporting cultural and educational projects is an opportunity to preserve history and make it closer and more understandable to people. It is especially important that the program includes excursions to the Social City—this is not just architecture for Nizhny Novgorod, but a part of living urban memory. Thanks to the collaboration between VTB, HSE, and the 'Zotov' Center, a project has emerged that helps to look at the city, its heritage, and the residents who created this environment in a new way," noted VTB manager in the Nizhny Novgorod region, Vsevolod Evstigneev.

The events will be part of the "Mergers" exhibition—a multidisciplinary project dedicated to the 30th anniversary of HSE—Nizhny Novgorod and the 130th anniversary of the Nizhny Novgorod State Art Museum. The exhibition is based on the image of the Arrow as the main visual metaphor of the city and a symbol of the connection between cultures, ideas, and eras.

Participation in the events is free with prior registration.

Social responsibility has been one of the important criteria for VTB's operations for many years. As part of its program for preserving and developing Russia's heritage, "Cultural Country," the bank actively collaborates with numerous key cultural institutions, supporting their projects. VTB implements its own initiatives in the field of art to preserve and enrich culture.
