VTB and "Magnit" launch a joint project

Within its framework, three main products will be introduced: a payment service within the retailer's app, a joint bank card, and the ability to order products through the VTB app. The total customer base of the two companies is about 80 million people — this audience is considered potential for the new service. By the end of May, the project will operate in nine regions, including the Kirov region, and within two months will expand to the entire country. Representatives of VTB and "Magnit" describe the project as comprehensive, noting that the integration includes payments, a card, and a showcase of products simultaneously. Analysts consider such collaborations promising but note that success depends on convenience for the customer and the partners' ability to retain users within a common ecosystem. The project, according to market participants, aligns with the trend of creating tools that combine payment and loyalty programs. Olga Skorobogatova, the first deputy chairman of VTB, added that the integration of the bank's and retailer's networks, as well as the use of the infrastructure of "Russian Post" and other partners, will help reach a wide audience. Evgeny Sluchevsky, the CEO of "Magnit," stated that the company has a new task — the development of financial services.
