The fleet of JSC "Transneft - Upper Volga" is ready to begin navigation.

      May 25, 2026 10:53 Society Fleet of JSC "Transneft - Upper Volga" is ready for the navigation period of 2026, which will begin on June 15. The fleet consists of 93 units of small vessels, including seven catamaran-type platform vessels of the "RT-BN" project, 14 boom-laying vessels of the "RUSBOT - 90BR" project, as well as tugboats, oil collectors, and other floating means. During the inter-navigation period, scheduled maintenance and repairs were carried out, as well as inspections of emergency rescue equipment, fire-fighting means, and medical supplies. The crews underwent a complete classification training cycle on their assigned vessels. The entire fleet has been certified by the Russian River Register and the State Inspection for Small Vessels, and has confirmed compliance with sanitary, hygienic, and epidemiological standards.

      In 2025, the fleet base was reinforced with three new catamaran-type boom-laying vessels, which are intended for towing and installing boom barriers and are distributed among the district oil pipeline managements. In the summer of 2026, the arrival of two more small boats with outboard motors is expected. All floating means are involved in solving seasonal production tasks aimed at increasing the reliability of infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted transportation of oil and petroleum products. With the help of the vessels, additional monitoring of the condition of underwater crossings of main pipelines across water obstacles is conducted. Furthermore, water transport ensures the prompt delivery of repair teams to hard-to-reach areas, including during the spring flood period, as well as the installation of boom barriers in emergency situations in water areas.
