A traffic accident involving tourists from North Korea in the Nizhny Novgorod region has attracted the attention of the prosecutor's office.

      On May 25, 2026, at 12:16, Incidents The Prosecutor's Office has taken control of the investigation into the traffic accident involving tourists from North Korea in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the press service of the supervisory agency.

      Recall that the accident occurred in the morning of May 25 on the M-12 highway in the Serychevsky district. According to preliminary data, the bus driver, transporting 30 citizens of North Korea, did not maintain a safe distance from the vehicle moving ahead, collided with it, after which the vehicle overturned.

      As a result of the incident, the driver sustained minor injuries. The passengers of the bus were not harmed.

      At the scene of the accident, traffic police officers and representatives from the migration management were working. In addition, the issue of holding the bus driver administratively responsible for damaging road structures is being resolved.

      The Prosecutor's Office of the Nizhny Novgorod region has organized control over the establishment of all circumstances of the incident. The supervisory agency is also monitoring the actions of emergency rescue services and the adoption of procedural decisions regarding this fact.
