The Nizhny Novgorod IT campus became the first partner of the B.N. Yeltsin Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University in Bishkek.

The Nizhny Novgorod IT campus "Neimark" has become the first partner of the Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University named after the first president of the Russian Federation B.N. Yeltsin in Bishkek. The cooperation agreement was signed on May 18 during the CIPR-2026 (12+) conference, reported the press service of the regional government.

The document was signed by Acting Rector of the IT University Dmitry Kolesnikov and Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of KRSU Evgeny Shekunov. Senator of the Russian Federation Olga Shchetinina participated in the ceremony.

At the end of 2025, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the construction of the KRSU campus in Bishkek. The project includes the construction of educational buildings for engineering, humanitarian-pedagogical, and medical clusters, dormitories, and sports infrastructure. The first phase of implementation is scheduled for 2026-2027.

The signed agreement provides for the development of interaction between universities in the educational and scientific fields and aims to improve the quality of training specialists.

Olga Shchetinina emphasized that the agreement between the Nizhny Novgorod IT campus and KRSU is an important step in strengthening the educational and technological partnership between Russia and Kyrgyzstan. She noted that she is part of the Friendship Group with the Kyrgyz Republic in the Federation Council, which is engaged in the development of educational infrastructure, the construction of Russian-speaking schools, and the expansion of humanitarian ties.

"The signing of the agreement with 'Neimark' fills this significant work with practical content. I am confident that such joint initiatives create a solid foundation for the common future of our countries and open new opportunities for youth," she said.

Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region Dmitry Starostin called the signing of the agreement one of the results of the work to expand the export of educational services in the region.

He noted that the document opens access for students from both countries to joint laboratories, international internships, and projects with industrial partners. According to him, the IT university gains an additional opportunity to replicate best practices, while colleagues from Kyrgyzstan gain access to modern Russian IT infrastructure.

"We expect that in the coming years we will see joint developments, academic exchanges, and, most importantly, in-demand specialists capable of solving applied tasks of digital transformation," emphasized Dmitry Starostin.

Dmitry Kolesnikov reported that the cooperation involves launching modern educational programs in artificial intelligence, robotics, and cybersecurity, oriented towards the real demands of the industry, as well as the creation of joint scientific and educational laboratories.

According to him, students will be able to undergo training and internships abroad, working on practical projects with leading industrial partners—from developing AI algorithms to creating secure telecommunications solutions.

"Our common goal is to prepare specialists of the future: not just graduates with diplomas, but professionals with practical experience capable of advancing the digital economy and science at the international level," noted Dmitry Kolesnikov.

The key mission of the project is to develop advanced technologies and prepare highly qualified specialists of the new generation for sustainable socio-economic development of the Russian Federation, the Kyrgyz Republic, and other states participating in the Eurasian Economic Union.

Evgeny Shekunov noted that for KRSU, the development of joint educational and scientific initiatives in the field of artificial intelligence, information security, telecommunications, and digital infrastructure is particularly significant. He expressed confidence that cooperation will serve as a basis for launching practice-oriented projects and academic exchanges.
