Scheduled road repairs have started in Nizhny Novgorod: we tell you where.

      On May 18, 2026, at 19:07, Society In Nizhny Novgorod, planned road repair work began as part of the national project "Infrastructure for Life," reported Mayor Yuri Shalabaev. In 2026, a major overhaul of the roadway, sidewalks, and bus stops is planned on Karl Marx, Kuzbass, Udmurt, Ryabtsev, Zvezdinka, Novikov-Priboy streets, as well as on Kazan Highway. On Kuzbass Street - on the section from Moscow Highway to the overpass at 435 km of the GZhD - work has already begun. The contractor is currently milling the roadway. Repairs on Udmurt and Zvezdinka streets are planned to start after May 20. In addition, the major overhaul of the overpass near the Myzin Bridge is ongoing. Work on the other sites is expected to begin in June. As the mayor clarified, preparatory work and asphalt laying will traditionally be carried out at night and on weekends to minimize inconvenience for motorists and residents of the city.
