The tram driver detained 10-year-old "grabbers" in Nizhny Novgorod.

      On May 18, 2026, at 14:11, Incidents: Parents of minors involved in "catching" incidents in Nizhny Novgorod have been brought to administrative responsibility. The children themselves have been registered with the juvenile affairs inspection, reported the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The incident occurred on May 17 at around 17:00 at the "Baranova Street" stop. The driver of tram No. 6 noticed two minors who were riding while holding onto the tram. He detained the schoolchildren and handed them over to the arriving Rosgvardiya officers. After that, the teenagers were taken to the local police department.

      It was established that the offenders were born in 2015. A juvenile affairs inspector held a preventive conversation with them and their parents, explaining the inadmissibility of unlawful behavior and the possible consequences of such actions.

      Protocols were drawn up against the legal representatives under part 1 of Article 5.35 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation for "Failure of parents or other legal representatives of minors to fulfill their duties for the maintenance and upbringing of minors."

      In addition, the minors have been placed on an internal departmental register for further preventive work.
