Nizhny Novgorod residents choose T2 - research by "TMT Consulting"

      On May 18, 2026, at 15:16, T2, a Russian mobile operator, has become the preferred operator among residents of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This is confirmed by analysts from TMT Consulting LLC based on the results of a market research study on mobile communications in the regions of Russia. T2 has the largest subscriber base among the "big four" in the region.

      The TMT Consulting study was conducted in the spring of 2026. The analysis of respondents' answers showed T2's leadership in the number of subscribers in the Nizhny Novgorod region, where the operator actively implements the concept of "different rules" and accelerates its technical development.

      According to the results of 2025, the volume of base station construction in the region increased by 65% compared to the figures of 2024, while in Nizhny Novgorod itself, this figure grew by 15%. Thanks to the expansion of T2's network coverage, tens of thousands of residents in settlements where communication was previously unavailable now have access to it.

      T2 is actively commissioning domestic "Bulat" base stations, which are capable of operating in two standards and servicing voice traffic. The infrastructure base for T2's accelerated development has become the network of antenna-mast structures from the company "Pilar." Additionally, Nizhny Novgorod region is one of the first regions in the country where all LTE traffic began to be serviced on the packet switching core equipment "Protey." This is a unique Russian development that has ensured successful import substitution of key processes in telecom.

      T2's flexible approach is evident in both tariff architecture and customer service. To support the active lifestyle of its subscribers, T2 regularly updates its loyalty program "More." The operator's clients can also exchange minutes and gigabytes for discounts, gifts, and services.

      Alexey Sidorov, director of the macroregion "Volga" at T2, stated: "If speed, quality, and service are the main criteria for competitive struggle in the market, then trust is no longer just a metric. In technical matters, we can rely on the most accurate tests, but the true attitude of subscribers will only be shown by time. Last year, T2 took first place in the integral assessment of mobile communication quality in the Nizhny Novgorod region according to DMTEL. This new achievement is a logical continuation of our course, where the main focus has been and will be the interests of our subscribers."
