The planes that landed at the Nizhny Novgorod airport due to the drone attack have departed for Moscow.

      May 17, 2026 18:57 SocietyPlanes that were forced to land at Nizhny Novgorod airport due to a drone attack have been sent to Moscow after restrictions were lifted. This was reported by the press service of the "Chkalov" air harbor.

      In total, the airfield received 22 flights to the capital in one day. By the airline's decision, passengers from three planes were sent to Sheremetyevo Airport via organized bus transfers.

      Recall that on the night of May 17, the Moscow region experienced one of the largest attacks - over 120 drones were destroyed over the region. Three people died, and at least 17 were injured.
