      May 17, 2026 19:37 Incidents A traffic accident involving minors occurred on May 17 in the Soviet district. This was reported by the press service of the State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. The accident happened around 12:30 near house No. 66 on Gagarin Avenue. A 34-year-old man behind the wheel of a Volkswagen chose an unsafe distance and collided with the car ahead, a HAVAL driven by a 50-year-old driver. As a result, passengers in the first foreign car—a six-year-old girl and a twelve-year-old boy—were injured. The children were taken to a medical facility.
