      On May 17, 2026, at 12:39, Incidents: A recidivist stole virtual reality glasses from a pawnshop in the Sormovsky district. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region. A 26-year-old employee of the pawnshop, located on Korablebuilders Street, contacted the police. He reported that an unknown person secretly took the device worth 29,990 rubles. Law enforcement officers detained the criminal, who turned out to be a 42-year-old resident of the Kanavinsky district, already with multiple convictions. It was revealed that the man managed to sell the stolen item. The suspect is currently under a travel ban. He faces up to five years in prison, and the investigation is ongoing.
