      May 17, 2026 11:59 Society The Nizhny Novgorod Airport "Chkalov" faced flight cancellations on May 17. This is evidenced by data from the online flight board of the airport. The flights in question are FV-6352 and SU-1223. The first plane was scheduled to depart for the capital at 09:40 and arrive at "Sheremetyevo" at 11:00. It is operated by the airline "Rossiya." The departure of the second aircraft was planned for 14:30, and it would have landed at the same airport at 15:50. This flight is operated by "Aeroflot." The cancellation of flights is likely related to restrictions that were in place at "Sheremetyevo." Currently, measures regarding this airport, as well as "Vnukovo" and "Domodedovo," have been lifted. It is worth noting that the "Chkalov" airport received 15 flights heading to Moscow due to temporary restrictions on the acceptance and departure of aircraft at the capital's airports. The Moscow region experienced one of the most massive drone attacks on the night of May 17, resulting in three fatalities and at least 17 injuries.
