      The traffic safety promotion inspector of the OGIBDD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia "Vorotynsky," police lieutenant Olga Emelyanova, and volunteers from among the students of the Spassk Agricultural Technical School went out into the streets of the district to remind motorists of the vital importance of following traffic rules. During the "Sober Driver" campaign, participants held individual conversations with car owners, handed out informational leaflets and thematic materials. Special attention was paid to explaining the tragic consequences of driving under the influence. Students and police officers emphasized that every decision made by a person behind the wheel directly affects the safety of all road users. The participants of the campaign also mentioned that there is a program in the region that provides financial incentives to citizens for an active civic stance. Residents who report to law enforcement about instances of driving under the influence can receive a monetary reward of 5,000 rubles (provided the violation is confirmed). Operational information about offenders can be reported via the unified emergency services number 112 or directly to the police duty unit.
