The police detained a teenager who knocked a man out on Christmas Street.

      May 17, 2026 18:37 Incidents Police detained a young man in a black mask who struck a man on the head on Rozhdestvenskaya Street on the night of May 16. This was reported by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      Recall that the fight occurred around 03:38 near one of the popular bars. According to eyewitnesses, a quarrel broke out among the patrons of the establishment, during which an unknown person in black clothing and a mask approached the participants of the conflict and attacked one of them.

      After the sudden blow to the head, the man fell and hit his head, losing consciousness. Witnesses of the incident heard him start to wheeze and saw blood flowing from his mouth. The victim was hospitalized.

      Law enforcement officials identified the attacker as a 17-year-old young man who is registered for juvenile delinquency. A protocol was drawn up against his legal representative for failing to fulfill their duties in raising the young man.

      The victim will be sent for a forensic medical examination to determine the severity of the injuries sustained. Based on the results of the examination, a procedural decision will be made. The police have organized an investigation, and specialists are determining all the circumstances of the incident.
