Kanavinsky Bridge and a number of Nizhny Novgorod streets will be closed due to a motorcycle rally on May 16.

      On May 15, 2026, at 12:39 PM, it was announced that on May 16, traffic will be temporarily suspended on several streets in Nizhny Novgorod. The restrictions are related to a motorcycle rally dedicated to the opening of the motorcycle season and will be in effect from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM, according to the city administration.

      The motorcycle column will start from the parking lot near the Volga embankment at "Sovcombank Arena." Participants will then proceed along Betankura Street and the Volga embankment, followed by Sovnarkomovskaya and Kerchenskaya streets. After that, the column will cross the Kanavinsky Bridge and continue along the Nizhnevolzhskaya embankment, Krasnaya Sloboda Street, and the embankment of the Rowing Canal. The finish is planned at the parking lot of Victory Park.

      Temporary restrictions are being introduced to ensure the safety of participants in the motorcycle rally and other road users.

      Motorists are advised to plan their routes in advance, consider possible road closures, and pay close attention to road signs and the instructions of traffic controllers.
