Filming has begun for the fantasy series for Wink "Knights of the Forty Islands."

      The filming of the series based on the book by science fiction writer Sergey Lukyanenko "Knights of the Forty Islands" (18+) has started for the online cinema Wink (a joint venture of Rostelecom and NMG). The director is Kim Druzhinin ("Evil People" (18+), "28 Panfilov's" (18+) and others). The cast includes Artem Koshman, Polina Gukhman, Veronika Ustimova, Oleg Savostyuk, Svyatoslav Rogozhan, Kuzma Kotrelev, Nikita Kologrivyy, Elisei Chuchilin, Alexandra Nesterova, Nika Zhukova, and many others. The parents of the main characters will be played by Mikhail Porechenkov, Alexander Oblasov, Dmitry Kulichkov, and Yulia Volkova.

      Modern teenagers, trying to escape from reality, find themselves in a world where every day they must prove their right to exist with a sword in hand. The main character Dima goes to the world of the Forty Islands in pursuit of his beloved. There, the weather is always beautiful, the sea is azure, the sand is warm, and the only downside is the brutal, unending war of all against all.

      The production of the series is handled by INEY Productions and GALA Production on behalf of "NMG Studios" and with the support of the Internet Development Institute (ANO "IRI"). Most of the filming will take place in a new pavilion at the Moskino film park. The series will expand the Wink Originals lineup ("The Word of the Guy. Blood on the Asphalt" (18+), "Fisher" (18+), "Lily of the Valley" (18+), "Combination" (18+), "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears. Everything is Just Beginning" (18+), "Ballet" (18+) and others).

      "Knights of the Forty Islands" (1992) is the first published novel by Sergey Lukyanenko, who soon became one of the most famous Russian science fiction writers. Even the writer's debut was awarded the "Sword of Rumata" prize as the best work in the adventure fantasy genre, and colleagues and experts began to speak of the emergence of a new talented science fiction writer. Currently, the total circulation of Lukyanenko's works approaches 10 million copies.
