      May 14, 2026 13:13 Society In the Kstovo Central District Hospital, the working conditions for medical staff have been revised following the intervention of the healthcare workers' union of the Nizhny Novgorod region. This was reported by the editor-in-chief of "Statsionar-Press," Alexey Nikонов, on his Max channel. Earlier, an inspection revealed that errors were made during the special assessment of working conditions. In particular, when working with anti-cancer drugs, the class of working conditions for medical staff was underestimated, even though these are substances of the first hazard class. Due to the incorrect assessment, employees lost their right to a reduced workweek and the provision of milk. The union disagreed with the results of the special assessment of working conditions in the department of anti-cancer drug therapy and in the outpatient oncology care center, where staff work daily with hazardous substances. After discussing the situation with the employer, it was decided to conduct an unscheduled special assessment of working conditions. The chairman of the regional union organization, Vasily Prikaznov, reported that as a result, the class of working conditions for jobs involving anti-cancer drugs was established at 3.4, and the list of positions was clarified considering biological risks and work with class "B" waste. This will allow medical staff to retain compensations, the right to a reduced workweek, and a preferential pension.
