A schoolboy from Zavolzhye went on the first interregional scientific tour route.

Territory of Heroes," 15-year-old Yevgeny Bogdashov from Zavolzhye, became the first participant of the new scientific and popular tourist route "Interregional Scientific Express." This was reported by prаvda-nn.ru. The project united the Nizhny Novgorod region, the Republic of Bashkortostan, and the Novosibirsk region. The route started on May 12 in Nizhny Novgorod. The first point of the program was a practical master class at the dental simulation center of the Privolzhsky Research Medical University. Yevgeny worked on a training simulator for future doctors—he tried to prepare and fill a tooth. "The impressions are amazing," he said. "I felt like a dentist, it's incredible. I want to connect my life with nuclear physics; I've been interested in it since childhood. But medicine also fascinates me; modern technologies provide incredible opportunities for development in this direction." In 2025, Yevgeny created branded merchandise and a mascot for the "Science. Territory of Heroes" competition, as well as prepared a comic about the history of the discovery of X-rays. That same year, he became a finalist in the "Icebreaker of Knowledge 2025" competition. In addition, the schoolboy won the "Big Change" competition twice, participated in the "Smarter Than Everyone" show on the "Friday" TV channel twice, and won the "Know? Teach!" competition. The first stage of the route is dedicated to medical and engineering developments, as well as folk arts and crafts. Participants will visit PIMU, technoparks, and museums, as well as get acquainted with the production of Khokhloma and Gorodets painting. In Bashkortostan, the program includes an inter-university campus of the Eurasian Scientific and Educational Center of world level, the Center for Intellectual Genomics, engineering schools and laboratories of the Ufa University of Science and Technology, as well as the Aviation Technology Technopark. In the Novosibirsk region, schoolchildren will visit Akademgorodok and museums dedicated to evolution to trace the path from fundamental research to the diversity of living nature. The project aims to showcase the potential of regional scientific schools and attract talented youth with opportunities for professional development outside of major cities. The initiative is being implemented as part of the Decade of Science and Technology in Russia. It was previously reported that two schoolchildren from Nizhny Novgorod won at the All-Russian Olympiad.
