      During the consideration of the case, the court established that citizen K. was illegally storing a substance of plant origin - cannabis (marijuana) weighing a total of 0.72 grams at his place of residence, without the intent to sell, for personal use, which constitutes an administrative offense under part 1 of article 6.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation. In the court session, citizen K. admitted his guilt in committing the administrative offense and expressed remorse for his actions. When determining the punishment, the court recognized the remorse and admission of guilt as mitigating circumstances for citizen K.'s administrative responsibility. No aggravating circumstances for K.'s administrative responsibility were established. By the ruling of the magistrate of the Sokolskiy judicial district of the Nizhny Novgorod region dated May 8, 2026, citizen K. was found guilty of committing an administrative offense under part 1 of article 6.8 of the Administrative Offenses Code of the Russian Federation, and he was sentenced to administrative arrest for a period of 10 days, with the obligation to undergo diagnostics, and if necessary, preventive measures, treatment for drug addiction, as well as medical and/or social rehabilitation in a medical institution.
