If a family has not previously received support for the birth of the first child, then upon the birth of the second child, the amount of maternal capital will be 963,243.17 rubles. The funds from maternal capital can be directed towards improving housing conditions, children's education, forming a retirement savings plan, receiving a monthly payment until the child reaches the age of 3, purchasing goods and services for the social adaptation of children with disabilities. It can also be received as a one-time payment of the remaining funds, not exceeding 10,000 rubles. "The money from the certificate can be spent on one goal or distributed across several areas," the message states. To manage the maternal capital funds, an application should be submitted in the personal account on "Gosuslugi", at the client service of the Social Fund's branch, or at a bank (if maternal capital is used to pay the down payment when obtaining a loan).
