The fourth class of fire hazard has been introduced in 20 districts of the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      On May 10, 2026, at 13:22, Society The third class of fire hazard has been established in the forests of the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the regional Ministry of Forestry, classes 2 and 4 have also been recorded in different areas. The 4th class of fire hazard is fully in effect in the territories of four municipal formations: the city of Sarov, as well as the Voznesensky, Diveyevsky, and Sechenovsky municipal districts. The 4th class is partially established in 16 municipalities, including the city of Arzamas, the city of Vyksa, the city of Kulebaki, the municipal district of Pervomaisk, as well as the Ardatovsky, Buturlinsky, Vadsky, Knyagininsky, Krasnooktyabrsky, Lukoyanovsky, Navashinsky, Pilninsky, Pochinkovsky, Sergachsky, Spassky, and Shatkovsky municipal districts. The 3rd class of fire hazard is fully established in 24 municipal formations. These include the city of Dzerzhinsk, the city of Nizhny Novgorod, the municipal district of Bor, the municipal district of Chkalovsk, the municipal district of Shakhunya, as well as the Balakhna, Bogorodsky, Bolshie Boldino, Bolshie Murashki, Vachsky, Vetluzhsky, Volodarsky, Vorotynsky, Gaginsky, Gorodetsky, Dalnekonstantinovsky, Koverninsky, Lyskovsky, Pavlovsky, Perevozsky, Sokoly, Sosnovsky, Tonshayevsky, and Sharangsky municipal districts. The 3rd class is partially in effect in the Varnavinsky, Voskresensky, Semyonovsky, Tonkinsky, and Uren municipal districts. The 2nd class of fire hazard is fully established in the Krasnobakovsky municipal district. The ministry reminded that when the 4th and 5th classes of fire hazard are established, a ban on visiting forests by citizens is introduced.
