In anticipation of Victory Day, employees of the branch of PJSC "Rosseti Center and Volga Region" - "Nizhnevenergo" carried out extensive work to improve memorial sites in the Nizhny Novgorod region. In total, the energy workers put in order 48 memorials, monuments, and military burials, paying tribute to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War. Each district of the electrical networks is assigned memorial sites, where company employees annually organize clean-up days: they clear away debris and shrub vegetation, refresh flower beds, paint fences and steles, and plant flowers and trees. Among the sites improved this year are the burials of Red Army soldiers who died from wounds in the hospital in the city of Semyonov, monuments in the villages of Arzhanovo, Maloye Klyuchevo, and Yefremovo, the villages of Sitskoye and Uspenskoye, the workers' settlements of Brilyakovo and Bolshoye Murashkino, as well as in the cities of Kulebaki, Kstovo, and Uren, and the memorial in the village of Konevo. The director of the branch of PJSC "Rosseti Center and Volga Region" - "Nizhnevenergo" Dmitry Fedorov emphasized the importance of this work: "For us, caring for memorial sites is not just a duty, but a sincere expression of respect for the feat of our ancestors. Each improved monument, each well-kept burial is our contribution to preserving historical memory. We must pass on to future generations not only knowledge of the heroic pages of the past but also a careful attitude towards the places that remind us of the sacrifices and victories of wartime."
