Nizhny Novgorod cadets visited Belarus for Victory Day.

      Students of the Nizhny Novgorod Cadet Corps of the Volga Federal District named after Army General Margelov V.F. participated in solemn events in the Republic of Belarus dedicated to the 81st anniversary of the victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War. The visit took place thanks to an agreement between the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Gleb Nikitin, and the leadership of the Republic of Belarus and is aimed at developing bilateral cooperation in the field of patriotic education and youth policy. A key event was the participation of cadets in the May 9 events in the city of Maryina Gorka. The Nizhny Novgorod residents honored the memory of fallen heroes by laying flowers at the memorials of military glory. The Minister of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Olga Guseva, noted the significance of such visits for youth and emphasized their role in preserving historical truth and continuity of generations. The Minister of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region, Mikhail Puchkov, stated that such educational trips shape the worldview of future defenders of the Fatherland and strengthen combat brotherhood. The program of the visit was organized by the Ministry of International and Interregional Relations of the Nizhny Novgorod region in conjunction with the Ministry of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod region. As part of the visit, cadets visited the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War and the State Memorial Complex "Khatyn." Also planned for the Nizhny Novgorod residents are visits to the museum complex of ancient folk crafts and technologies "Dudutki" and a tour of Minsk, including visits to the Trinity Suburb, Upper Town, and October Square.
