Welders have become the highest-paid specialists in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      May 8, 2026 12:58 Economy In April, the highest-paid specialists in the Nizhny Novgorod region were welders, sales department managers, and real estate agents. These conclusions were drawn by analysts from hh.ru after studying the situation in the regional labor market.

      These professions topped the ranking for the level of offered incomes. Employers are willing to pay such specialists from 150,000 rubles per month.

      The absolute leaders were welders—their median salary reached 260,000 rubles. Sales department managers are offered an average of 153,800 rubles, and real estate agents—150,000 rubles. Programmers and developers can expect about 148,800 rubles.

      Also among the high earners are couriers (139,800 rubles), installers (139,400 rubles), foremen and construction masters (135,800 rubles). PTO engineers and estimators are offered around 125,300 rubles, production managers—120,000 rubles, and auto mechanics and automotive technicians—almost 115,000 rubles.

      Overall, the median salary in the region in April 2026 was 73,631 rubles. This is 8% more than a year ago: in April 2025, the figure was at the level of 67,919 rubles.

      Looking at professional fields, the highest average offers in April were in senior and middle management—127,600 rubles. In the automotive business, employers offered an average of 106,606 rubles, in the field of strategy, investments, and consulting—100,000 rubles, and in transport and logistics—98,646 rubles.

      The top ten sectors with the highest salaries also included agriculture (96,363 rubles), construction and real estate (91,917 rubles), insurance (90,756 rubles), manufacturing and service maintenance (88,897 rubles), raw material extraction (86,768 rubles), and skilled trades (86,349 rubles).

      Among the regions of the Volga Federal District, the highest average salary offers in April were noted in Tatarstan—80,362 rubles and Bashkortostan—80,000 rubles. The Nizhny Novgorod region, with a figure of 73,631 rubles, also ranked among the leaders of the district.
