Nizhny Novgorod authorities have filed a lawsuit against the concessionaire of the sports complex in Sormovo.

      On April 27, 2026, at 10:20, the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the regional Ministry of Sports filed a lawsuit against LLC "First Nizhny Novgorod Sports Infrastructure" - the concessionaire for the construction project of a physical culture and health complex on Korableystroiteley Avenue in the Sormovsky District, in the Arbitration Court. Information about the filing of the claim was posted in the case file on April 24. The details of the claims have not yet been published. Only the amount is specified - 332.8 million rubles.

      Recall that construction work began in October 2024, but was suspended in November. The project was resumed in April 2025. At the end of the year, at the initiative of the concessionaire, construction was frozen again. At that time, the readiness of the facility was estimated at 24.5%. The Ministry of Sports repeatedly sent requests to the concessionaire demanding to provide an updated work schedule and documents confirming the volume of completed activities. No responses were received, after which claims work began. A decision was later made to terminate the concession.
